Scura era la notte

Il 17 febbraio prossimo vedrà la luce la nuova compilation benefica della serie Red Hot Organization, che si prefigge di raccogliere denaro in favore dei malati di AIDS. La compilation dal titolo 'Dark was the night', con quel 'was' usato con speranza al passato, è stata prodotta, organizzata e gestita dai fratelli Dessner (cioè i The National) e vede una tracklist davvero da sogno: Jose Gonzalez che canta Nick Drake, My Brightest Diamond che canta Nina Simone, Antony (solo voce e chitarra acustica) che canta Bob Dylan e poi Byrne, Cat Power, Andrew Bird, Feist, Arcade Fire, Beirut, Bon Iver, Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Blonde Redhead, My Morning Jacket..

Mi spiace solo di essermi dimenticato di postare ieri questo messaggio, perchè proprio da ieri sul myspace ufficiale del progetto http://www.myspace.com/darkwasthenight e per ogni giorno verrà fatta ascoltare l'anteprima di uno dei pezzi in ordine di scaletta. Insomma vi siete persi David Byrne, ma fate ancora in tempo ad ascoltare 'Cello Song' nella versione di Jose Gonzalez sul tappeto soft-elettronico dei The Books.

Questa in definitiva la tracklist completa dei 2 CD (fate i conti dei giorni a cominciare da ieri e segnatevi quando nel myspace ci sarà il pezzo che solletica maggiormente la vostra curiosità. P.S.: quello di Antony, che ho già ascoltato in ante-anteprima fa rizzare i peli sulle braccia!!!)
